the farm

We finally decided to start with the farm we were thinking about.

We purchased about 400 meters of barbed wire after he roughly measure the size we could utilize. We don't know exactly how big it is by now, just enough to be able to see everything from where you will stand.
The clearing didn't took much time. It was just around three days since the place was already covered with carabao grass and only few trees and unwanted grass need to be cut.

We are building a pig pen made of native materials.
The delivery of anahaw leaves took three days to be completed.
Drying of the leaves took an entire week as it was raining for a number of days.
my request for "kawayan" bridge since the lot is bounded by a creek on the front.

our water source

The whole idea of the farm has been on my mindset especially last year when the yearning intensified. I don't know, maybe because I have always been the laid back type or maybe I became so hook with gardening and there isn't much space left for me in our yard.

And it was only last night, when we are about a month since we started when I realized why he wanted farm living too. While we were star gazing at the farm, he casually talk how he would spend his summer at his grandparents house, working with the carabao and doing some gardening.

We are dreaming of a farm house by now but there's still a lot of work to do. In a few years more, we both hope it could come true.
