A Sunday up in the sky

with baby always excited with our travels
We talked about leaving at 7:00 am for Tiwi, but we ended up after lunch. It was a rainy morning, so every one were tied down in bed.  But still, after Crissy and I enumerated our possible options we decided to push through with the original travel plans  since the kids would insist that we go. Nikki has been wishing for the Mayon Skyline since she's never been there.

finally! they are here for the first time.
The weather was fine when we were heading to Tiwi, but when we are half on our way to the skyline it started to drizzle. I think I was seriously praying for the safety of our travel that  I didn't even noticed that we have reached our destination. It was already raining hard so Crissy check if it was okay to have our foods be eaten at the cafe. We bought our snacks with us but I couldn't resist anyway ordering the bihon guisado which was more than I expected. The serving was enough for all of us at 190 pesos only.  Thank God, that we were able to take some pictures when the rain stopped for a while.

the whole gang, thanks to our photographer AJK, yon talaga role niya

hugs, hugs from baby
our resident model/photographer/travel planner/over-all assistant/ eldest ampon daw namin

the foggy road

They weren't able to see the crater that I was telling them about since it was foggy. Over all, they enjoyed the cold climate.

a little note...nanibago sila doon sa mga bata na nag-aabang sa kalye kung bakit kumakaway lahat. The kids who are used to tourists may be who throw them coins. But it looks real dangerous if they will race for it.

i love mayon!

i can only say "WOW"
Quota na daw kami for the day kaya puwede na gumala, hehehe. The biggest advantage of being your own boss is having your own time...It's almost half past the hour of one when we decided to go to Mayon Planetarium. He wanted first to watch "unofficially yours", but I am not so in the mood for lovey-dovey, so I insisted for a roadtrip instead.
view of Mayon in front of Daraga dumpsite

We both can't resist the desire for a shot once more at this location,i guess it's somewhere in Sto. Domingo.Parang 'yong Mayon lang talaga kinunan niya. Sa katirikan ng araw, and in front of passing vehicles,pinag-pose niya ako.

junction leading to Mayon Skyline

After almost an hour of travelling we finally reach the intersection leading to our destination. 12 kms naman 'yong binaybay namin from Tabaco City. I've been here before pero dahil medyo may memory gap na ako di ko na maalala masyado.

Upon arrival, we headed for the snack house, we were both so hungry and thirsty to say. Good thing there is this Starship cafe. We just had burgers which was amazingly good.

We went next to the Planetarium. There wasn't much to see with the ten peso entrance fee. The attendant was kind enough to ask if we wanted to watch a 10-minute short film in their mini-theatre. We were thinking about the time, so we declined. He said it shows Mayon eruption. We will try it next time.

Cris enjoyed posing for me again.

He is into plants and gardens nowadays.

A few huts were occupied even it was a weekday. There were a number of cars arriving even it was past four o'clock in the afternoon.

one nice shot crissy!

A closer view of the crater. nabigla pa ako ng makita ito. I didn't even notice it before. Ewan ko ba I always had this fear when looking at Mayon in close proximity. I do appreciate its beauty but at the same time I also dread the dangers it brings.

We left after buying a bonsai and an orchid. It's his weakness now. He spends  lot of time scouting for something to plant. And it makes me happy of course...

We took the Sabloyon road on the way back. Manang said it's 16kms to the main road in Ligao, but we opted that way since i haven't passed there. And I was so impressed with the road. Bulag kaya mga politician at di nila mapansin na 'yon ang pinaka-kailangan in this side of Daraga.
