Sorsogon....Sorsogood...

I decided to visit Sorsogon this time and see what it has to offer. We have been to almost all tourist spot here in Albay. And as they are promoting, the CALMASOR(Catanduanes, Albay, Masbate, Sorsogon) Tourism Alliance, we might as well see the spots ourselves before tourist flocks in and rates increases. The city proper was just a forty five minute drive from our home. Of course, I have been to Sorsogon many times but the only place we would visit was Rizal Beach in Gubat.
C'mon when you talk about Sorsogon then, before butanding arrived, the first thing that comes to mind is its famous Rizal Beach.
Welcome to Sorsogon!!!
hope they would pull out that banner...

We were supposed to drop-by at the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral but we couldn't find parking space. And to our dismay, roads were one way drive. We just decided to proceed to Bacon.

Cumadcad-dun

While having our breakfast, an idea just pop out of his mind to go driving, this time taking the Sorsogon way. It's a beautiful Friday morning, and with our house clothes on, we were off to Cumadcad, Castilla, Sorsogon, the next town from our home when going south. I grew up hearing "cumadcad-dun" which is used to describe when you see someone wearing loud colors or flowery one.

well maintained roads and zero traffic
the signage, i guess 3 kms away from our house
next on our list....bulusan lake
the public market
when we went inside there were not so many choices, the fish, meat and vegetable section is comparable to our own Anislag mini-market
i think the new portion of the market, unoccupied yet

the establishments lining up the streets
oh, well this is actually a town, but I visualize Anislag looking like these soon
most visible establishment is a Petron gas station. Likewise, the stores of low cost motorcycle brands, RUSI and RACAL. There is also an existing subdivision.
the police station
there is no signage yet, but i guess this is their newly constructed municipal hall

we were actually on the hunt for "hinog na langka" but this what we got.
no plastic bag available
quite big bananas
