the farm

We finally decided to start with the farm we were thinking about.

We purchased about 400 meters of barbed wire after he roughly measure the size we could utilize. We don't know exactly how big it is by now, just enough to be able to see everything from where you will stand.
The clearing didn't took much time. It was just around three days since the place was already covered with carabao grass and only few trees and unwanted grass need to be cut.

We are building a pig pen made of native materials.
The delivery of anahaw leaves took three days to be completed.
Drying of the leaves took an entire week as it was raining for a number of days.
my request for "kawayan" bridge since the lot is bounded by a creek on the front.
(para may konting thrill sa pagtawid)

our water source

The whole idea of the farm has been on my mindset especially last year when the yearning intensified. I don't know, maybe because I have always been the laid back type or maybe I became so hook with gardening and there isn't much space left for me in our yard.

And it was only last night, when we are about a month since we started when I realized why he wanted farm living too. While we were star gazing at the farm, he casually talk how he would spend his summer at his grandparents house, working with the carabao and doing some gardening.

We are dreaming of a farm house by now but there's still a lot of work to do. In a few years more, we both hope it could come true.

Happy Birthday Nepie!!!

Happy Birthday Nepie!

See you soon, don't worry ginagawa ko na 'yong sinabi mo,hehe.

Our Sunday in Joroan

amazing views on the way to Joroan but my camera wasn't ready. Crissy only obliged to stop at this point.

Our Lady of Salvation Parish Church

ahem...my favorite model

had our lunch here and they were asking if we are going to have halo-halo to which I said no.
Of course, theirs is my favorite. I wasn't just in the mood to eat one

biking @ Legazpi Boulevard

My favorite biker with the amazing views of the sunrise, Mayon Volcano and my dream house. I am so thankful that he has fully recovered from his knee injury a month ago. I so look forward to more days of running, walking, biking and driving together. Of course, not to miss is our hearty breakfast after. The perks of his profession is that when he is here every day is a vacation. It's somewhat liberating to be just strolling and relaxing around while most of the people our age are at work. I wish time is always ours...

 just a note....

you can buy fresh and dried fish along the boulevard.

you can have breakfast at Pares King which open early..

we have tried Seadog Diner, the one bloggers are raving about, unfortunately, they run out of stock of cheese so pizza was not available. But their tuna sandwich was good and such a big serving...

the quaint town of Guinobatan

the municipal hall
could have been a better shot but it was just a hot day

their park, I  love the playground

the bustling economic activity right in front of the old world charm of the municipal building

I've read that the best view of Mayon Volcano is in Camalig... truly vivid colors!
