Balay Cena Una

romantic place but it's not really my thing
i love seeing more people dining and observing them than looking at antique items
lovely interiors
upstairs dining hall
we only had their classic fresh lumpia and tom yum soup and base on these i can tell that they offer super delicious foods..
we are looking forward to try their buffet Sunday lunch

Balay Cena Una is at corner F. Lotivio and P. Gomez Sts., Daraga, Albay...

open! please come in!
can we have our picture together too?
my ever willing model as always
its a ship! it's a ship!

enjoying the view of Mayon Volcano

we only had sinigang na isda which is quite good.
we really don't eat a lot so i can't vouch of the taste of other items in the menu

we were actually attending a wedding and we just decided to have a quick bite since we can't be at the reception due to prior commitment

priest homily revolve around the world "KASAL". he said that if u removed the first letter it becomes "ASAL", which is the very basic in married life...the right attitude to lasts you to forever

my hometown... DARAGA

snapshots from my phone camera whenever I have chance...

our bank of choice which is moving to a bigger location. though I like more its present location near groceries and fastfoods,

ang paboritong pandesal ng bayan... that even tourist would drop-by here
I wonder the long lines. I pass here every time I'll be downtown but I am not really a customer. I opt for Daraga Bakery even if I have to walk more steps. Sa sobrang dami kasi ng display nila, feeling ko di nababawasan ang mga tinapay nila.
Siyempre hindi naman na ako bata to frequent here but I do appreciate its existence. I could grab a quick bite here before going home. I am really thankful for the fastfood and restos now in Daraga. I remember in 2006, while we were having our pre-wedding seminar, I couldn't even suggest a place to him. Palamigan during that time was not a choice but among our favorites now. At present, we have \Biggs Diner, Mcdo, Graceland and not to mention the famed Balay Cena Una and Balay Suanoy. Of course Alvi's and Colonial Grill is still within Daraga though no longer walking distance from the business district.

Cagsawa Festival 2013

For the second year in a row, we were among the crowd who braved the afternoon sun to watch the much awaited part of the month long festivity, the Street presentation.

Of course, it won't "wow" Crissy who is used to Dinagyang and Pintados. I was missing the drum beats too, but over all, the parade had improved a lot from last year. It just looks like the DaragueƱos are not supportive enough for activities like these. I don't know I can't help the comparison, Ilonggos are always excited when their festivals are coming and they talk about it with such pride.

But it's so heartwarming when we we bump with no less than the Governor himself, walking with the crowd. All I was able to utter was a quiet "Good afternoon po!"

pa's 64th birthday

Excited sa birthday at bago niyang shirt, haha. Lalo na pala sa cake. He decided to celebrate it on the ninth, ahead of his actual birthday. Para daw bongga at tatlong araw handaan naminhanggang fiesta. He just got so many friends, and this day was dedicated  to his group mates. It's from the group he conceived, grupo ng mga manlalasing na magbibigay ng 200 every time may birthday sa grupo.

the many, many attendees
Siyempre pa, kapag siya ang nagbirthday talagang pang-kandidato ang dami ng pupunta. They spent the night, singing and dancing.

mga kulitan kung sino ang sasayaw

sweet,sweet,sweet
kinabitan pa sila ng paper bills na umabot din ng libo,
para sa may birthday siyempre

sige sayaw lang, hataw pa
