Passi, Passi I Love!

Passi City Church
When we were there the funeral of the patriarch of a political clan has just left. You can really count thousands in attendance
the altar
i used to hear the 3pm English mass on Sundays when I lived there.
one of my fondest memories was when i volunteered to collect the alms on one  of the masses
Jardin de los Santos
this is beautiful and sets apart the church
i wish we could have one too here

the back part
the main streets
the mode of transportation within the city are tricycles designed like this.
masarap pang-motorcade,yon nga lang mahirap kung masyado mainit at umuulan.
i envy the numerous motorcycle parts shops there because they surely got a lot of customers
the obviously newest structure within the city
is this what they call a linear park?
i have to agree the sight is better with this addition, I remember plans of having one like this in Daraga. I hope it would push through
the Plaza Paloma
at the background is the old Municipal hall built in 1930
beautifully crafted! Passi is known for abundant and sweet pineapples.
That's the restroom at the park.

Kawilihan Resort in one of the outskirts barangay
the passi river
it was just a poor shot but the river is so scenic
the Passi Grand Terminal

Gaisano Capital Passi
the only mall in the city and how I wish it was already around then.
In fairness it has already a Goldilocks outlet where one is just underway here in Legazpi
a new building adjacent to Gaisano
Passi has its own charm  It's so laid back that you just want  to forget the rest of the world. One thing that amaze me is that they tend to know each other.

i really wouldn't mind living there only that I dream of a house where Mayon Volcano is within my sight.

Passi City

the present (2008) road condition of Passi city...after a week long heavy rains, though yesterday the sun shined all day...
natawa ako bigla sa bus when i saw streamers along the road which goes like this more or less...
pasahero: 'Nong sa Passi lang ako ma-baba
konduktor: 'Day, magtulog ka lang. pagdinaguldol, Passi na...
Hopefully, this won't be the condition a year from now. I alreeady saw some sign that Pototan-Passi road will undergo rehabilitation. Sana lang mag-pushthrough sooner.

PASSI BUS TERMINAL

a welcome change for the city...kaysa sa dati na hindi mo alam kung saan ka magtatago kapag sobrang init or maulan kapag nag-aantay ng bus.I don't know when it actually opened, but i got to see it last February. Buses to and from Iloilo will have to pass here.

‘T was April 14.Saturday. Barangay fiesta of Mantulang, the place where my husband's family came from. We were invited by some of his relatives. We were on the dot for lunch but as what some fiestas turn-out to be, we were left with nothing to eat, hehehe. And, as what Cris can become when he’s hungry, he just walked-out. But in due fairness, his relative has apologized about the incident and for me it wasn’t a big deal. Things like these do happen and it’s beyond our control.

Anyway, we proceeded to his cousin’s house who has been texting us throughout. They did not really prepare for the occasion but just the same they will have something for lunch. They had “ubad” for viand. It’s a vegetable dish with banana stalks and monggo beans as the main ingredient. But they put in native chicken. Actually, it was my first time to eat it too and it’s not that bad.

After that, we just had the usual “chikahan”. We weren’t able to cap the day with the buko as we’ve planned, since someone who just hop in with us was raring to go home. I just had a good time then, taking pictures on our way.

bright, sunny day just made my day!
