Another year of marriage??? You two must be CRAZY!!!!

January 25, 2011 marked the fifth year of our marriage... and of course i wouldn't let it pass just like that. it must be something special. it just that our wedding date doesn't register much on my memory. we were supposed to be wed on december that's why

we took the chance to visit Manaoag since Cris had made a vow to visit there every year. i kinda appreciate it more since the last time we were there i was so groggy. we just arrived from Bicol when we went there. and i just so love the ambiance of the town while we were eating on the fast food stalls that line up the front of the church and the town hall as our view.
@ Our Lady of Manaoag Church, Pangasinan

the good thing was there are already vans plying the baguio-manaoag route. It was a little bit scary and we were almost caught in an accident. in fairness with the driver, since i was sitting behind him, i didn't see the other car too that suddenly overtook the truck.

@ Burnham Park

anyway, we got our much deserve break in baguio. and this time around we got to enjoy the city just relaxing in our hotel room and strolling  a bit at Burnham Park. Crissy had  a grand time eating, from sweet corn, to mangoes, to chicharon and me siopao. we just left when it really felt cold as it was dark already. just in time for ukay-ukay at baguio market.

the next day we went to the church and said our prayers. and just how stupid i am to forget that i should have not took the stairs. after that breakfast at SM. as usual Cris just love posing for my cam. and then like a child, he immediately wants to take a look at his pictures and even zoom it to see how he look like.

well, he convinced me too to pose with my 50,000 jacket. just an additional to my violet collection. and yah, he just love me wearing it.

something went wrong and we rushed  back at the hotel where we stayed until check-out time... a few more minutes spend at ukay-akay then we headed to the bus terminal

what i love most about our travel isn't the beautiful things we got to see but the time spent together. i enjoyed our bus rides where he would cuddle me like a baby, where we both dream on the amazing houses we passed by, or just simply holding each others hand like we just became lovers yesterday.

i would have to say that the past months saw a different level in our relationship.  we became aware that in our ten years of being together some things are just possible. that there are differences that we have yet to patch. that we could be capable of hurting each other. we are working on it though. and all these time even if it do came to a point that i have said harsh words, i just knew that Cris would really never mean to hurt me. I am just a little insecure girl and a jealous wife at times.

some things just do happen. it's for us to realize that there are things we need to decide, some things to embrace. some things to give up. and it really wouldn't matter. as long as we can be together, happiness and bed of roses is possible.

at Burnham Park

Siyempre, this was the first one that caught our attention. From the outside, it seems to be just like any ordinary park. It was past 5PM na kasi ng gumala kami doon. 'Ala lang kuwentuhan lang kami for an hour, extended pala 'ung boat rental at the same price kasi wala naman daw masyado tao.

After that, siyempre we wouldn't miss SM, not naman to shop but to enjoy the view on its terraces. We just sat there for an hour habang pinag-iisipan kung saan kami kakain uli. We tried to look for a restaurant sa kahabaan ng Session Road but it started to drizzle. It was good naman at super-mura pa. For less than a hundred sulit na talaga ang serving nila

at the mansion

at Mines View Park

The jeep going to the park was just a few steps from our hotel so it was so easy for us. Tama nga ang nabasa ko sa mga reviews na nasayang lang ang ganda ng park because of so many stalls that was put up. Although, the main portion was still nice. You can’t help but pose before the breathtaking sight. Crissy won’t let me sit at the railings, pero siyempre matigas ang ulo ko. When it was his turn, andami muna poses niya ginawa before he finally agreed to what I am insisting na umupo rin siya doon. Haay Crissy is the ever maalalahanin guy I have. He always treats me as a little girl. I remember he even lifted me like a child at Glorietta when I sat at the stage. Di naman ako, nagrereklamo, I even love him more for that.

“yon nga lang too shy magpose to the max because in front of me was actually a crowd. In the corner of my eye, I even saw someone taking pictures of me. Pero okay lang, wala naman censored sa hitsura ko. Siyempre, nag-wish uli doon sa wishing well.

I wanna try everything that I saw kaya ayun sumakay din ako sa kabayo. We waited for a while ‘ung together with Douglas, the pitbull kasi andami nagpapakuha. Nakakatuwa lang kasi tingnan kaya even if we need to pay PHP20 okay lang. meron din ‘ung kubo with the mines view ek-ek ganon na may donation bowl lang. The smallest amount I saw was PHP20 pero siyempre PHP10 lang ang binigay ko. Donation lang naman kaya voluntary lang dapat. We just bought my mommy’s bilin, then, we left.

at Camp John Hay

From PMA, we took taxi again to Camp John Hay. Our first stop was at the Butterfly Sanctuary. At first, being the “kuripot” that I am, I was hesitant kasi PHP40 ang entrance and you can see na sobrang maliit lang naman ‘yong place to roam around. But then again, paminsan-minsan lang naman makakapunta sa place nag anon, so why not? Ayun, we just posed before the lagoon tapos on our way out, the caretaker insisted that he will let us come in contact with the butterflies. Before I knew it, pinaglalagay na niya butterflies sa damit ko.
When it was Crissy’s turn, natawa na lang ako when, he put the butterfly right on his nostrils. Pang-extra challenge daw, hehe. Walang nagawa si Crissy but to smile on the cam. Well, what a souvenir!

After that we headed to the picnic grounds. But, unprepared that we were, we can’t have our own picnic. We just had a good time strolling under the pine trees. Di na kami pumasok sa historical side niya where the Bell Amphitheater was kasi may entrance din. We went all the way to the Manor Hotel pero di na kami umabot sa banda na may nagtitinda ng mga export runs kasi lunchtime na.

at the Philippine Military Academy

I’ve read in one travel site na every Saturday nga daw may parade ang mga PMA’ers kaya we rush at the academy as soon as we arrive. We just took taxi too since were running out of time. But, it was okay naman because we were able to took pictures at the Historical Site. “yon nga lang napilitan pa rin kaming sumakay at malayo pa ang grandstand. Luckily, di pa naman nagsisimula kaya nakapaglibot pa kami. Ang gaganda ng mga flowers nila and when I started to look on the cam, saka ko narealize that I should have took more shots.

At sayang lang din kasi sabi ko after na ako magpapapicture with a cadet. “Yon pala they will head directly to their quarters after that. Pero we enjoyed naman our visit there especially Crissy who I don’t know is a frustrated PMAer, hehe, joke lang binuko pa kita eks
