cris is now 35

I can't believe it. Cris is now 35. He could have fathered a teen at this age but in many, many ways, he remains my little boy. Everyone knows how he had grown into such a responsible man, but his dreams, his happiness stays like that of a twelve year old boy. He laughs, he talks with sheer innocence as if he hasn't seen pain yet.

He loves his family. He loves his siblings. He loves his role as "Kuya" . The thin little boy they address as "Bong-bong" had fun memories of childhood.

He had a colorful high school life. Even went to the extent of joining the Search for Mr. Intrams. But among the many activities he had, he is proud the most of being an officer in CAT. Sabi niya, meron na daw siya love life at that time but would not talk about it in details. I know he had developed his confidence during his high school. I always admire that attitude of him, he had the air of confidence even in the midst of life's crisis.

He fondly remembers college life to eating "tuyo" almost everyday to save his allowance but sees to it to bring a box of chocolates for tatay when he goes home on weekends. Like any boys, he had his own share of "kalokohan", skipping classes, drinking sessions, and visiting massage parlors( sabi mo yan ha,hehe). He cherish his college buddies so much.

It was his first time on board an international vessel and  indeed a tough journey for him in getting that job. We would talk about that dream for hours, and hours, to the point when we almost lost hope it would ever come true. But his experiences from our former workplace kept him grounded until this day.

His first time on US shores

He spent almost four years on this ship and made a lot of good friends. he really enjoyed life on board this passenger vessel, that leaving again after a short vacation became so easy for him.

I've never seen him that happy after learning that he passed the exams. It compensated for the depressed feeling he had when he didn't make it on his first try. I witness all his efforts and it did paid off. Ang motto pa naman niya that time, "no time for love" and he did mean it, focusing on his review while i took the back seat. And it wasn't time for me to complain, after all, it has always been his dream.

After his transfer to another company, he gained a lot more experience and new friends.

Siyempre, here i am the girl who would always be his number one fan. And i am just so thankful that we had this kind of relationship where I can give him advice from a friend's viewpoint. But of course, i so appreciate the fact that for him i'll always be his beautiful wife...

Happy Birthday Cris!
