jawili falls

Just five-minute walk from the beach is the Jawili falls. It’s a seven basin falls where you can dip in fresh water. WE paid PHP10 entrance fee since we entered a private resort. It would be PHP5 if we used the barangay road. Unfortunately, we didn’t try swimming since we just woke up when we got there and we don’t have plans to swim yet. And, also because summer was just over the water flowing is not that abundant and clean. But it’s worth doing some little hiking on the way up. There’s already a trail so need to worry which way to walk through. It feels so good amidst the lush greenery. I was down the memory lane and I suddenly missed Bru since we got the same passion for hiking.

Though Jawili is a beauty to behold, I will be proud to say that Catanduanes falls are more worth visiting. There you can find not just the seven basins but seven falls. During our college years, we visited the island for a week much to the dismay of our professor because after all our research, she said she never permitted any one of us to go out of town. We had good time not just mingling with the residents and having them talk about their culture, but also going through the caves ( how can I forgot when my shoes was burned without me knowing) and swimming at the falls.

But over all the Jawili experience is worth a second time around. I wanna try next time reaching the top of the mountain range there and see for myself the view of Sibuyan sea from the top. Of course, experience the utmost privacy by the beach.

ABU GID NGA SAEAMAT....
